Who are we?

Durham University Scout and Guide Group is one of the oldest societies at Durham and we meet regularly for relaxed socials, adventurous activities and volunteering. We are open to all, and there is no need to have been a Scout or Guide before – though we can help you to find a local group if you’re looking to become a Leader in Durham!

We organise two large incident hike competitions each year; Midnight Madness (for Explorers and Rangers) and ‘Outdoor’ (for Scouts and Guides). We also run ‘Indoor’ which is a skills competition for Scouts and Guides.
